Flagship Westfield Good Festival Returns this May

Flagship sustainability event returns to Westfield London (16-18 May) and Westfield Stratford City (23-25 May) with a vibrant programme of free workshops, masterclasses, and eco-conscious experiences to inspire and empower visitors to embrace sustainable choices across fashion, beauty, and lifestyle.

The Style to Sell Studio: Learn how to transform your Pre-Loved Fashion into Profit with Bay Garnett

At the heart of this year’s festival is the Style to Sell Studio, an exclusive activation at Westfield London, designed to upskill visitors to become experts in turning their pre-loved fashion into profit. Nailing the art of styling and shooting for resale is key to becoming a success on resale platforms such as Depop. The right style advice, as well as key insights on how to light and shoot your product, can be the difference between second hand shoppers scrolling past or stopping to purchase.

The Westfield Good Festival invites visitors to bring up to five items of clothing or accessories they no longer wear to learn how to restyle by a team of expert stylists led by renowned fashion sustainability advocate and former fashion editor, Bay Garnett. Bay will make a special in-person appearance at Westfield London on Saturday 17th May from 12-7pm, offering guests the chance to receive her expert styling advice firsthand.

A professional photographer will also be on hand to direct the savvy sellers on how to capture high-quality images against carefully curated backdrops. Photos will be optimised for resale platforms like Depop, ensuring your garments are showcased at their best for prospective buyers. Whether you are new to reselling or a seasoned seller looking to elevate your listings, this interactive experience offers expert guidance on turning your wardrobe into a sustainable source of income.

Bay Garnett, Fashion Editor and Stylist, said: “Most people have a fortune (and special pieces to fall back in love with!) hanging in their wardrobe and yet they mostly ignore it, as they don’t feel they have the tools to transform them into something desirable. I’m excited to empower visitors to rework their garments and transform them into something that’s not only stylish but also resale-ready. (Or, ‘you can get out there and wear again-ready’.)

You’d be surprised how a little restyling or customisation can change up a piece of previously unloved clothing. I’m a huge champion of second-hand shopping – it’s better for both the planet and your wallet. I can’t wait to see what challenges visitors will bring me at the event!”

Alongside the Style to Sell Studio, the Westfield Good Festival offers a host of activities to educate and inspire:

Depop Marketplace: A curated pop-up featuring six of Depop’s top sellers, showcasing vintage, upcycled, and unique fashion finds.
Creative Workshops & Masterclasses: Daily sessions led by Depop and LOANHOOD, covering how to turn a love for second-hand fashion into a business, how to stand out on resale platforms, and sustainable techniques like upcycling and denim repair.
SOJO Alterations & Repairs: The first 30 visitors each day can enjoy free clothing alterations (up to £40 value) to help refresh and extend the life of their wardrobe.
Refill & Reimagine with Kiehl’s: Learn how to make your beauty routine more sustainable with free skincare consultations, eco-friendly product swaps, and gifts for recycling empty beauty containers.

Steve Dool, Senior Director, Brand Marketing and Communications at Depop, said: “As Depop’s global community grows, we recognise the importance of IRL experiences where our sellers can bring their shops to life and buyers can shop pre-loved clothing from their favourite Depop shops. We are thrilled to be partnering with Westfield, a globally celebrated destination for shopping and community experiences, to bring more people into the world of second-hand clothing.”
