Foot Locker Europe announces the opening of its new store in Westfield Stratford, London – home of some of the biggest cultural institutions in the UK and to the infamous Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
The new 10,000 square metre store offers an elevated retail experience and has been designed to inspire youth culture and build communities. The two-story space delivers an engaging retail experience, combining premium product and elevated in-store presentations, as well as enhanced technology driven customer experiences and events.
Customers will be able to interact with the store in an innovative way, for instance through the digital virtual world with a Striper bot traveling across the store by appearing on screens across the two floors. Guests can also take part in interactive games, hosted on a high-fidelity curvy LED wall, for the chance to compete against players from across Europe and win one of the many prizes available.
There are also free phone charging stations, and customers can collect QR codes during their visit on their mobile device, for the chance to win prizes such as products designed by local artists.
A selfie experience in the store will allow customers to take a picture against a backdrop that replicates the London Underground and then use their mobile to choose backgrounds and stickers for their selfie before sharing with friends on social.
To celebrate the launch, Foot Locker hosted an exclusive student event last week featuring a live performance from South London rapper, Cristale, who performed tracks including Far Away. Cristale is also the face of Foot Locker’s new Powered By You campaign, a platform which aims to empower, inspire and create a more progressive future for all, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, size or ability. A London based DJ also hit the decks at the store opening with an energetic set.
The launch event also featured Crep Protect’s Cop or Flop and Throne, as well as free screen-printing services on custom tote bags for all guests to enjoy.
