Westfield London and Time Out partner to bring Sounds of the Summer to the City
From Friday 18th July to Tuesday 26th August, Westfield London is proud to host Time Out Presents: Sounds of the Summer – a brand-new and exclusive physical activation and weekly music series held on Westfield Square. This exciting, immersive and visually stunning open-air experience will invite and encourage visitors to spend time, relax and discover a new, fun-filled musical space in the heart of Shepherd’s Bush, all completely free of charge.
Curated and programmed by Time Out, ‘Sounds of the Summer’ will feature ‘Feel Good Fridays’ every week from 5pm to 9pm at Westfield London, offering an incredible line-up of DJs and performers delivering the very best in eclectic beats and party vibes. On 15th August, TikTok sensation DJ AG- winner of Time Out’s 2024 Londoner of the Year – will bring his viral mashups to Westfield London, with collaborations and shout-outs from global stars including Ed Sheeran and Will Smith. His genre-spanning sets promise to keep the energy high and the crowd dancing all night.
Every Saturday from 12pm to 6pm, Westfield London will host live performances from emerging artists supported by UD Music – a respected organisation dedicated to promoting young Black talent across London. UD Music has helped launch the careers of UK music icons like Skepta and Little Simz, and now Westfield visitors can discover the next generation of talent live from West London, including Malika, Ashaine White, Nicole Blakk – plus more.
UD Music focuses on the sounds, words, and rhythms of Black music culture, including genres like R&B, soul, Alté, Afrobeat, Afro-soul, grime, rap, hip-hop, and drill, often blending these styles to create fresh, genre-defying performances.
Amplifying, driving awareness and encouraging engagement, the supporting media campaign – complementing the in-real-life experience and developed by Time Out’s Creative Solutions team – will span Time Out digital platforms with a mix of editorial and branded content.
Using Time Out’s uniquely authoritative yet fun and playful tone of voice, Sounds of the Summer will be positioned as a go-to for summer fun, whether for a drop-in experience amidst a day of shopping, a timed and programmed event or to get involved and perform in the space.

For families and fun-seekers, Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City are transforming into urban beach escapes for two weeks each, offering visitors a seaside-inspired day out without leaving the capital. The Beach Club is a playful, sensory experience designed for all ages. Guests enter through a whimsical sandcastle arch, greeted by giant beach accessories like an enormous lolly, deckchair and surfboard – perfect for photo opportunities.
The Sensory Sandcastle invites visitors to enjoy hands-on fun with kinetic sand, brought to life with playful lights, sounds, and the scents of summer. Classic games like giant Connect 4 and Skittles add a touch of nostalgia for the whole family to enjoy.
