Fulham favourite, the Harwood Arms, has been featured in the 2024 Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list and is one of the top ranked gastropubs in the nation.
The rankings, which celebrate the highest standard of pub dining in the UK, were launched in 2009 and are one of the most prestigious industry awards. The rankings are formulated following industry expert voting, and the final list reflects the opinions and expertise of 350 pub operators, food writers, pubco catering development managers, executive chefs, celebrity and top hospitality industry chefs, pub guide editors, industry chiefs and food operators.
The Harwood Arms is the only Michelin starred pub in London and was first bestowed the exclusive title in 2010 and has maintained it ever since. The pub has a long history of excellence having risen to the top of the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropub list in 2020, when it became the first London pub to take the title in the award’s 15-year history.
In this year’s commentary, the Harwood Arms is noted for “boasting some impressive credentials” and being a “pristine fine-dining pub with an exceptional menu” whilst maintaining a “casual and relaxed environment” that has “embraced local drinkers.”
Since its inception in 2009, the pub has championed the very best of British produce with game and wild food as menu staples. Under the direction of head chef Joshua Cutress, the Harwood Arms has renewed its focus on seasonal British ingredients and sustainability.
Publican’s Brett Graham, Mike Robinson and Edwin Vaux are at the helm of the revered establishment that has been described as a “cosy affair that won’t break the bank” and commented: “This latest accolade is a triumph for the team at The Harwood Arms and a testament to their hard work and vision. We are always striving to make our pub the best it can be, and it is rewarding to see our efforts recognised in these prestigious rankings.”
