Gordon Ramsay is the best known chef in the world, and his legacy is set to get even stronger next year. It was recently announced in Loti that the Hell’s Kitchen star is planning on opening a few different restaurants in London’s tallest office building.

In addition to the 57-year-old’s myriad television shows, his restaurants will help people remember him for many years. He already has numerous restaurants in the capital, and these new ones are expected to be hugely popular as well.

Restaurants to be Highest in the City

London boasts a few restaurants that offer great views of the sprawling metropolis, with OXO Tower Restaurant and Oblix up there with the best eateries. Ramsay is obviously not content with his restaurants being lower down and is now planning to usurp these other spots for the crown.

22 Bishopsgate is now one of the tallest buildings in London, and Ramsay is set to open a few restaurants on its upper floors. The main event will by the Asian-inspired Lucky Cat, which is set to open on the 60th floor of the skyscraper. This will be accompanied by the Lucky Cat Roof Terrace, and Bread Street Kitchen & Bar on the floor below.

Adding to His Ever-growing Franchise

With these ventures, the Gordon Ramsay franchise continues to grow. The chef is already one of the best known names in the industry around the world, and the introduction of new restaurants only serves to enhance his reputation further.

Of course, the chef is best known for his appearances on our screens, with countless exceptional offerings in his television catalogue. He first burst onto the scene in 2004 when Hell’s Kitchen and Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares first aired on ITV and Channel 4 respectively.

These series were so popular that Ramsay attracted American attention and went across the pond to film Hell’s Kitchen for Fox. That has been going since 2005 and is still hugely popular in various countries. Indeed, the brand has become so iconic that there are various games based upon it such as Hell’s Kitchen: The Game. There’s even a Hell’s Kitchen slot game at King Casino, which features the legendary chef on the reels. The reel spinner gives players the sense that they’ve entered Ramsay’s bustling kitchen.

What Other Restaurants Does Ramsay Own in London?

Ramsay currently has 20 restaurants in different cities around the world, but many of these are in London. Some of the best known spots that are still open today include Restaurant Gordon Ramsay and Pétrus by Gordon Ramsay, which were founded in 1998 and 2010 respectively.

He already has a few spots in his Bread Street Kitchen & Bar franchise, which first opened its doors in London in 2011. The new edition of this in 22 Bishopsgate will be the fourth after the branches in Hong Kong and Singapore.

It’s great to see that, despite creating most of his television in the USA, London is still Ramsay’s favoured city when it comes to restaurants. These new eateries will add to the various other hotspots owned by the celebrity chef in the Big Smoke.
