Staff and residents at Wilsmere House Care Home in Harrow were delighted to welcome a special guest to the home to celebrate International Women’s Day.
The Mayor of Harrow, Anjana Patel, visited the home to meet the residents and the staff and find out all about life at Wilsmere House. The Mayor gave a lovely speech in honour of International Women’s Day and presented long service awards to two of the many remarkable women from the team at Wilsmere House, Diana Zinveliu and Esther Pokuah, who have both been working at the home for 10 years.
The Mayor, staff and residents enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea of home-baked cakes and pastries made by the home’s talented hospitality team where everyone got to chat and relax together.
Lili Cocue, General Manager of Wilsmere House, said: “It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the Mayor to our home to celebrate International Women’s Day and honour our long-serving staff. We’re all so proud of our home, our team and our residents and we love to show them off whenever we can.”
