From today, London locals and visitors alike will be able to experience a truly enchanting sight as a towering Christmas tree, inspired by the iconic, snow-covered village of Hogsmeade from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, appears in the capital. Housing its own Honeydukes sweet counter, the impressive 31-foot-tall installation officially opens today and those wanting to get their wizarding world Christmas fix can do so until 5th January 2026.

Adorned with approximately 800 scarlet and gold baubles nodding to Gryffindor colours, 100 letters from Hogwarts addressed to Harry Potter and nostalgically wrapped parcels set aside for the films’ beloved characters, each branch brims with Christmas and wizarding magic.

The tree sits atop model buildings, celebrating the wizarding village of Hogsmeade with a Honeydukes sweet counter which offers joyful confectionery gifts for sale, including quintessential Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, Chocolate Frogs, Butterbeer cookies and bottled Butterbeer.

Eyes should also stay peeled for the Owl Post, from which the iconic Hogwarts letters spill, spiralling around the tree. As for the tree’s topper, familiar snowy owl Hedwig presides over the display, clutching a delivery of her own.

When: Until 5th January 2026
Opening hours: 9am – 6pm daily
Location: King’s Cross Station, London

Visitors will be able to explore the detailed shop windows which surround the tree, modelled after some of the wizarding world’s most beloved locations, and sharp-eyed visitors will find delightful hidden details and ‘Easter Eggs’ tucked into every window:

Owl Post – Discover wrapped Weasley products, Hogwarts acceptance letters, a Weasley’s whimsical ice-skating snowman, and even Ministry letters from Mafalda Hopkirk.
