Heathrow Express – the fastest route between Paddington and Heathrow Airport – this week unveiled a fleet of newly named train carriages at a special event held at Paddington Station.
The carriages are named after twelve cities from around the globe, in a celebration of international travel, following a competition with Heart Radio to find the public’s favourite city destinations.
The twelve cities, as chosen by the public, are London, New York, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Amsterdam, Sydney, Dublin, Prague, Tokyo, San Francisco, and Las Vegas. The Heathrow Express carriages will now bear the names of these popular destinations with striking artwork featuring their iconic skylines.
The carriages were unveiled at Paddington Station by Sophie Chapman Business Lead and Director of Heathrow Express; Barry Milsom, Train Service Delivery & Performance Director at Great Western Railway; Rose Wangen-Jones, Managing Director, Marketing, Destination & Commercial at London & Partners and Mark Hopwood, Managing Director of Great Western Railway.
