Earlier this month, former EastEnders actress Rita Simons ditched her signature blonde locks and entered the jungle with glorious bold pink hair.
Her new do has been the talk of Twitter, with fans stunned by how her hair has stayed so pink during her stint on the ITV show, despite her swimming in lakes, dealing with the Australian sun.
One quizzed: “How is Rita’s hair still pink?! Whenever I’ve dyed mine pink it’s lasted about 8 seconds!”
Another added: “Truly thought the pink in Rita’s hair would have faded by now, I need to know who does her dye”.
Award-winning hair stylist, Spencer Silver commented: “Rita is rocking her pink hair in the jungle – it’s great to see her change up her look! It’s likely she had it freshly done just before she went in and it looks like she has been taking good care of it.”
“I would always advise my clients to stay out of the sun or protect it with a hat to help the colour lasts, so I imagine that’s what Rita’s been doing” Silver continues. “I would also always recommend treating and protecting coloured hair with a deep conditioner and sun protecting spray. I wonder if either was on her jungle luxury item list – I know L’Oréal Professionnel Série Expert Solar Sublime Spray would be on mine!”
