The Globe pub officially unveil its significant six-figure transformation on Monday 18th September, which has been designed to revitalise the busy pub while retaining its traditional look and feel.
The pub, located on Marylebone Road, opposite Baker Street station and just a stone’s throw away from Madame Tussauds London and the Sherlock Holmes Museum, has recently undergone a six-week exterior and interior renovation by Greene King.
The large 18th century pub has been completely renovated inside with a fresh new colour scheme throughout, and a newly designed hallway and toilet area inside. On the outside, the pub has been transformed with a new fascia with updated signage, new lanterns, and a new entrance to the Sherlock Bar that takes you upstairs away from the hustle and bustle of the capital.
The outside space now includes a large parasol umbrella and outdoor planters, with an updated outdoor dining area with new tables and chairs and new table barrels to enjoy drinks together alfresco.
The Globe is one of Marylebone’s popular pubs for sporting events, located close to Lord’s Cricket Ground. Once opened, the pub will continue to show a wide range of sports including the Grand Prix and the current Rugby Tournament.
The pub also boasts an extensive food and drinks menu with a selection of wines and spirits, plus premium beers and craft ale on tap and serves a range of traditional pub classics.
To celebrate the reopening, The Globe will be hosting a special re-launch party for guests to come and see the new look on 21st September from 5pm with drinks, food and entertainment throughout the night.
