Fresh from the UK launch of YouTube Music, YouTube Music: In Residence is a four day party that celebrates every part of the British music scene. Check out more than 15 live gigs, fascinating talks from some of the biggest names in music & culture and immersive experiences designed around everything from fashion and clubbing to an iconic Camden boozer. Throughout each day there will be performances from established and breaking artists, including Becky Hill, Zac Pajak, Mirra May, Amun, Oli Fox and Chelcee Grimes, with more names to be announced. There will also be engaging discussions and firesides, with industry veterans including DJ and broadcaster Annie Mac, DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold(Madonna, U2), and activists and cultural leaders Pxssy Palace.
Alongside a killer live line-up, event experiences will include reliving the lost art of clubbing with a real reimaging of iconic London nightspots, a journey through the life of SB.TV’s Jamal Edwards, a working pub and venue created in partnership with Camden’s Dublin Castle, as well as a pop-up sneaker store, a sensory music experience and vinyl shop like no other.
YouTube Music: In Residence is taking place between Thursday 28th June and Sunday 1st July at 180 The Strand, has been designed in collaboration with SBTV, Sony Music, Warner Music, Universal Music UK, DAZED and Pitchblack Playback. Take a look below for a preview of what you can expect to see.
First, enter YouTube Music: In Residence in a flood of red light, and head immediately into an light tunnel that seemingly goes on forever, with an Instagrammable animation that reacts to the music.
