Access Self Storage Islington as launched its annual Easter Egg collection and hopes every local will donate an Easter Egg for chosen local charity, Hackney Foodbank.
Thousands of Easter Eggs have been donated by stores local communities and customers since the Easter collections began in 2011 and this year the team is collecting for the charity that provides emergency food and essential support to individuals and families experiencing financial hardship. Hackney Foodbank works with a network of referral agencies and community partners to distribute food parcels and practical assistance to people across the local area who are struggling to afford basic necessities.
Dinesh Kathrecha, Store Manager, Access Self Storage Islington said: “Everyone deserves a treat this Easter and we’d love to fill a whole storage unit with Easter Eggs. It couldn’t be easier to donate, eggs can be dropped off at our Access Self Storage store, at any time. We want to be able to collect as many eggs as possible, and to distribute them to those in need, and helped by our chosen charity this year.”
Staff have already begun collecting eggs and donations can be made at the store between now and 22nd March, ahead of the charity collection and distribution in time for Easter.
Since the Access Self Storage Easter Egg Appeal launched in 2011, more than 8000 chocolate eggs have been donated to dozens of charities across the UK.
