JACK BECOMES JACKIE THE RIPPER FOR INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY AT THE LONDON DUNGEON

0

The twisted minds that dwell within the London Dungeon have come together to dispel the myths of the fairer sex, and give murderous females the recognition they deserve this International Women’s Day.

The London Dungeon has told the mysterious story of Jack the Ripper to its curious guests for more than 30 years. But, for one day only, to remind us all that men don’t have a monopoly on the murder game, the London Dungeon is changing Jack the Ripper to Jackie and replacing the usual male actor for a female one. And challenging all traitors and peasants brave enough to come face to face with femme fatale Mary Pearcey (a real-life suspect in the Jack the Ripper investigation) to see if they can survive the horrors of Whitechapel and escape with their organs intact.

Convicted of murdering her lover’s wife, Phoebe Hogg, and their child Triggy, Mary Pearcey’s heinous acts have put in her in some dark company as a suspect for the infamous Jack the Ripper crimes, a mystery that was never solved.

A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “With men often stealing the spotlight when it comes to the ghastly and gory crimes, we wanted to give ladies their dues for International Women’s Day. Rather than the usual honouring, we’ve given the day a London Dungeon twist while telling a story that many may never have heard before.”
With 16 shows and thrilling rides, the London Dungeon promises to bring the city’s dark history to life, delivering ample scream-drenched stories and fear-inducing shocks for an experience you’ll never forget.
