Central London destination Marylebone Village has officially announced that British media personality, entrepreneur and presenter Jamie Laing will be switching on the lights display at the Merry Marylebone Christmas Lights Event taking place tomorrow (Wednesday 12 November 2025). Running from 3-8pm, the event is organised by The Howard de Walden Estate in support of charity partner, The Marylebone Project.

Jamie Laing will be switching on the festive Christmas lights at 6pm on the stage situated on Devonshire Street. The stage will be hosted throughout the day by local Marylebone Village resident, BBC presenter and broadcaster Jo Good.

Jamie Laing is best known as the founder of confectionery brand Candy Kittens and podcast production company Jampot Productions, which produces shows like NearlyParents he hosts with his wife Sophie Habboo. His career also includes co-hosting prime BBC Radio 1’s Going Home with Sophie and appearing on Strictly Come Dancing. In early 2025, Jamie also completed Comic Relief’s Ultra Marathon Man challenge – running five consecutive ultra-marathons over five days from London to Salford – which raised more than £2 million for the charity.

To celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season, Marylebone Village is inviting visitors to experience an unforgettable evening of late-night shopping, market stalls selling food, drinks and gifts, a Santa’s Grotto, a Ferris Wheel, live music and more. There will also be the ever-popular charity tombola located on Marylebone High Street for the chance to win fantastic prizes from a host of local Marylebone Village brands.

All proceeds made from the festive activities – including a Santa’s Grotto and the tombola – will be donated to The Marylebone Project which provides life-changing help for homeless women and is the largest and longest-running centre of its kind in the UK.
