As the nights start to draw in and we begin to reminisce the summer months, Junkyard Golf Club, the home of crazy golf has just announced raising over an astonishing £22.5k for charities close to their heart this Summer.
The nations favourite crazy golf group has been extremely busy these past few months with a summer full of LGBTQ+ events in celebration for this year’s Pride as well as various festival appearances in partnership with the amazing Love Support Unite Foundation.
A dedicated cocktail ‘Kiss the Rainbow’ designed ahead of Pride 2022, was inspired by the bright and colourful rainbow Pride flag. With all profits going to a range of LGBTQ+ charities, initially ‘Kiss the Rainbow’ was only going to be available during June [Pride Month] but Junkyard Golf Club was amazed with the amount of interest and money raised from the cocktail, they decided to bring it back for each venues pride celebration event, to continue raising funds.
Each Junkyard Golf Club venue was given the freedom to host their own pride event with acts, entertainment and a local charity all chosen and organised by their employees. From special guest LGBTQ+ DJ’s to Drag Queens galore, each event was a huge success across the county in getting all the cities involved with helping to celebrate Pride.
With Manchester’s pride event happening over the Bank Holiday weekend just gone, the people of Manchester saw appearances from Drag Queens Sasha Blaze, Kiki Pain and many more LGBTQ+ DJ’s, as well having a pride makeup artist within the venue to get everyone glammed up and ready! The total amount raised continues to increase, but as Manchester’s event draw to a close raising around £5k, bringing the total amount raised from all six pride events across the country to be an amazing £17,333.
So, after such great success and interest, people can expect only bigger, better and brighter celebrations at Junkyard Golf Club for Pride 2023.
