With the school holidays just around the corner, Oxford Tube is delighted to announce that up to two children can travel completely free of charge this summer, when accompanied by an adult.
The 24/7 coach service, run by Stagecoach West, connecting Oxford and London, will offer free travel for up to two children all summer holidays, running the promotion from 18th July right through until 7th September 2025.
Chris Hanson, Managing Director Stagecoach West and Oxford Tube says: “Taking the kids to London on the Oxford Tube is a great, cost-effective way to find fun things to do with the children over the long summer holidays to keep them entertained.
“This fantastic offer should go some way to easing the burden of high costs, making it easier and more affordable than ever to get in and out of London and Oxford and enjoy everything these fabulous cities have to offer, with all important family trips and memorable days out.”
Famously frequent and flexible, Oxford Tube runs up to every 10 minutes, 24 hours a day, offering plenty of services to choose from. Passengers can also be sure of a comfortable journey as all Oxford Tube coaches have air conditioning, free 4G Wi-Fi, USB power sockets, individual tables and footrests as standard.
There’s no need to pre-book. Tickets can be purchased on the Oxford Tube app in advance or from the driver on the day. To claim free coach travel for children this summer, an adult must show their Oxford Tube ticket to the coach driver upon boarding and a free ticket will be issued for up to two children. Alternatively, an adult can purchase their Oxford Tube ticket from the coach driver – cash or contactless payments are accepted – and the driver will issue a free child ticket for up to two children, per paying adult.
