Spring has arrived, and Westfield London and Stratford City’s most covetable fashion and beauty brands are dropping new season collections each day, providing stylish solutions to seamlessly transition your wardrobe and beauty palette for warmer climes. From new brands to discover and Y2K jeans, through to innovative skincare and the return of lip gloss, spring forward to newness at Westfield this season.
Flying in from South Africa, international luxury lifestyle brand Kingsley Heath will be opening its first UK store in Westfield London on 1st April. Inspired by authentic African lifestyle, the brand will be bringing its unique and ethically sourced collection of mixed fashion designs across apparel, footwear, accessories and home and body care. Offering a holistic in-store experience, customers will be greeted in the new store by activating senses using sounds, scents, textures, and hues that create a distinctive African Luxury feel.
FRESH OFF THE RUNWAY
Popular with Gen Z, and nostalgic for millennials, is the Y2K trend, influenced by looks from the late 90s to mid-2000s – and one we don’t expect to wane any time soon.
Leading the way with this trend is Monki with its ‘Field of Denim Dreams’, denim line offering waist sizes ranging from 24 to 40 inches and made with a mix of organic cotton and recycled cotton. The ‘Yoko’ style, a favourite amongst the Monki community, is the perfect high waist, wide leg jean and a classic Y2K wardrobe staple this season.
Caroline Carlryd, Head of Design at Monki, said: “We’ve taken the all-time favourite Yoko jeans and given it a fresh spring update. We like to experiment with popular prints and washes because we usually get such positive feedback from our inspiring Monki community. We’re excited to see how customers will style this pair!”
Need a top to pair with the perfect pair of jeans? Invest in a chic, modern corset from cult-favourite Urban Outfitters which said wearing lingerie as outwear this season is “…a true Y2K-approved fit!”
For comfort and style, adidas understands that support is everything. The stylish athleisure brand has created a variety of sports bras designed for every fit and move this season, available at its Westfield stores.
BECOME YOUR OWN MUA
Give your look a flawless finish with Morphe. Use Morphe’s ‘Filter Effect Soft Focus’ Foundation (£18) and pair it with the hydrating and nourishing Filter Effect Soft Radiance Concealer (£12) to achieve the “…ultimate filtered look!”. The inclusive Filter Effect Soft range consists of concealers in 20 flawless shades and 40 shades of foundation to fit multiple skin tones and undertones.
Morphe has also recently launched its new line in collaboration with social media star Nyane: “…Conjure up your most colourful looks ever this spring as you delve into Nyane’s dream world of colour, creativity and colour-matched looks and discover a look to suit every mood!” The new Morphe x Nyane Fierce Fairytale Artistry Palette (£29) is available in Morphe at Westfield Stratford City.
Finally, finish off your look with Too Faced’s luscious Lip Injection Maximum Plump (£24) available at Westfield Stratford City. “In case you hadn’t noticed, lip gloss has made a comeback! While clear, shiny gloss has a staying power all on its own, we will see more featured with lip liner and glazed over lipsticks,” said Heather Jackson, Education Manager for Too Faced Cosmetics UK.
Now you’ve got Westfield’s guide to getting runway ready, it’s time for you to stylishly strut your way into spring summer season.
