Store colleagues at Hobbycraft Wimbledon received epic praise for their recent take on Kylie’s latest smash hit, Padam Padam, after the songstress herself sent them a message of endorsement via Tik Tok. The five-strong team of colleagues have been rapidly growing their Tik Tok account since launching it in July 2022, thanks to their addictive, tongue-in-cheek posts that have focused on everything from Eurovision to the launch of the latest Little Mermaid film.
This particular piece of content features four members of the Wimbledon team, all lip-syncing to Kylie’s song whilst recreating the pop icon’s dance moves from her Padam Padam music video and has now been viewed over 510,000 times. The signature vibrant red colour that features throughout Kylie’s video is also replicated in Hobbycraft version, as the team pull out rolls of red fabric and dance with it energetically throughout the store – in their signature fun-loving style.
Andrew, Wimbledon store manager store says: “We are all massive Kylie fans here and have not been able to get this track out of our heads – no pun intended. It just felt right that this would be our next Tik Tok video and Annie, Sharon, Jacqui and I loved channelling our inner Kylie to create this film for our fans.”
Ellie, who edits and films the videos, says: “We couldn’t believe it when Kylie herself sent us a message – getting a YES from her was more than we could ever have imagined, and we want Kylie to know that we are always here if she fancies popping in for some crafting supplies!”
