ICE at Kensington Palace – a brand-new world leading winter experience with sustainability at its heart, will launch later this year in London. Running from 30 November 2023 until 7 January 2024, the new magical winter attraction in London will include the largest ever single ice rink in the UK, a huge 2800sqm of ice, or the equivalent of the full length of a football pitch. Starting from today, super early bird tickets are available to purchase online.
Held in the beautiful grounds of Kensington Palace, the stylish event will also welcome an impressive festive tree centrepiece, which will take centre stage as guests glide across the beautifully covered ice rink to enjoy 45-minute sessions of skating fun. Surrounded by a variety of sustainable food and beverage options, in addition to retail outlets offering seasonal products and a mixture of games and attractions, adults and children alike can immerse themselves in a winter experience like no other.
ICE at Kensington Palace is delighted to partner with Cecconi’s, by Soho House, who will provide a unique ‘elevated’ VIP facility on the first floor of the skate exchange with magical views overlooking the ice rink.
For festive shopping, look no further. ICE at Kensington Palace is delighted to welcome Fortnum & Mason as its official retail partner. Known for its extraordinary hampers, delicious food and incredible gifts, visitors will have the chance to purchase the brand’s high quality Christmas gifts at the event.
With sustainability at its heart, the event and its founders are committed to upholding the fundamentals of the Terra Carta. By applying the Ten Articles in the Terra Carta as guiding principles to the business’ sustainability actions and decisions the founders will aim to further its partners’ sustainability awareness, as well as nurture a range of legacy projects throughout the UK that will enhance biodiversity and wildlife, benefitting people, planet and nature. This will be funded using £1 from every ticket sold.
ICE at Kensington Palace is also proud to be working with Green Biofuels as its exclusive HVO supplier and Aggreko as its official energy provider, who will provide stage 5 state of the art generators to run the event.
A variety of CSR initiatives are also at the centre of ICE at Kensington Palace. This includes working with the local council to identify and fundraise for local causes, discounted rates for NHS workers, Armed Forces and Emergency workers, providing dedicated sessions for parents and children only, and more.
Tamarisk Founding Partners Peter Phillips and Rob Derry said: “We are thrilled to be bringing ICE at Kensington Palace to London this winter. With an abundance of retail, food and beverage, and exclusive experiences, guests can expect a spectacular magical winter experience that puts the planet, nature and people at the heart of its values. We will have even more to come over the next few months so watch this space.”
