LatinoLife in the Park 2026 Celebrates a Decade Developing UK Latin Music

LatinoLife in the Park returns to Walpole Park, Ealing, on 19 July, celebrating its 10th anniversary with a vibrant showcase of Latin American music and culture. Bringing together the very best UK-Latin talent alongside international artists from across Latin America, this milestone edition is the culmination of a decade presenting authentic, high-quality Latin music, dance and food, rooted in the community and lived-experience of its curators.

Founded ten years ago by Argentine-born journalist Amaranta Wright and Venezuelan-born DJ Jose Luis Seijas, what began as a grassroots initiative has grown into the UK’s largest one-day Latin culture festival, Britain’s only Latina-run festival – a summer highlight where thousands of visitors return each year.

“We wanted to put forward our own Latin proposal, telling our own story,” says Amaranta Wright, founder of LatinoLife, the Arts Council’s only Latina-run National Portfolio Organisation.

“Most Latin festivals and concerts were based on bringing artists from abroad rather than giving a platform to the Latin talent that was bubbling under the surface here,” adds Jose Luis, co-founder of LatinoLife in the Park. “I came to the UK as a teenager but didn’t feel represented. We wanted a festival Made by Latinos, and we had to do it ourselves.”

After ten years, the festival’s reputation for creating high-energy, emotive, immersive experiences for all ages, is such that the first three ticket releases of its 2026 edition sold-out before the line-up has even been released.
LatinoLife was the first organisation to focus on and develop Britain’s emerging Latin artists, representing a unique music genre fusing Latin rhythms with UK urban sounds.

Year on year, the festival serves as a launchpad for rising stars, showcasing talent LatinoLife has nurtured through its outreach, mentoring and development programmes over twenty-five years.

The 10th anniversary marks a special moment to reflect on the festival’s journey and impact. Over the past decade, it has elevated underrepresented voices and raised the profile of previously marginalised talent, which LatinoLife began to export in 2025, pioneering a new era of cultural collaboration between the UK and Latin America. “Our idea is that the emerging UK-Latin talent you see at LatinoLife in the Park this year will be the international headliners of tomorrow!” Says Amaranta.

Ten years on, the festival continues to thrive, driven by a passion for representation and staying true to its original pledge to showcase authentic, diverse, quality Latin music and dance, presenting them within their cultural contexts – a festival “Made by Latinos, for Everybody.”
