This summer, Leadenhall Market will host Summer Sessions at Leadenhall, a series of free nine micro concerts, supported by Eastern City Business Improvement District, that will bring live music to the Market’s cobbled passages on weekday afternoons.
Taking place on various Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays throughout August, these free lunchtime sessions will offer an eclectic mix of musical styles in the heart of the City. Each day’s performances will be split into three 30-minute sets, starting at 12pm, with the final set ending at 2pm.
Performances will pop up across Leadenhall Market, showcasing several different spots in the Victorian arcade. Audiences can follow their ears through the Market’s main walkways and hidden alleys to find each gig, then settle into deckchairs under the glass roof to enjoy the music. No tickets or pre-event sign-up is required.
From Gypsy jazz and Motown to Parisian folk and smooth R&B, the sessions reflect the rich international flavours of London – and Leadenhall Market’s own diverse community of tenants.
