About to jet off on holiday? Planning a trip to a bucket list destination? On Friday 24th June, head down to Borough Market to learn more about the importance of travel health and how you can best prepare for your holidays this summer. TV presenter, avid foodie and traveller, Fred Sirieix, will be giving out travel health advice alongside a delicious food special from popular Indian street food stall, Horn Ok Please, from 1-3pm.
Fred’s appearance comes as BewareoftheBugs.com releases new research into Brits’ travel habits and unveils the top travel trends for the year ahead, revealing that travellers are more likely to research the predicted weather in their destination (58 per cent)[1] than recommended vaccinations (44 per cent)1.
With 41 per cent of us planning to take more trips this year than we would’ve done pre-pandemic1, we need to be more aware of travel health now than ever before, especially as over a third (35%) of us are planning to travel outside of Europe1. To help plan for foreign travels, BewareoftheBugs.com has pulled together a handy pre-travel checklist, detailing everything you need to prepare for your trip from your passport to potential vaccines and medications, handed out by Fred Sirieix.
No matter whether you are travelling abroad on holiday, visiting family and friends, or travelling for business, you should consider the potential health related risks you may be exposed to. Beware of the Bugs aims to connect travellers with their local travel health clinic and set-up consultations with a travel health specialist before setting off on their trips.
Fred Sirieix will be handing out the Taste for Adventure food special, along with travel health leaflets, at the Horn Ok Please stall in Borough Market on Friday 24th June from 1-3pm.
