This winter, the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) invites everyone to embrace the festive season with a joyful programme of creative workshops and seasonal activities. Across RHS Gardens nationwide, visitors can discover hands-on arts and crafts activities, inspiring seasonal experiences, and a chance to create fun, festive gifts and keepsakes.
From sustainable willow decorations to creating festive wreaths and table centrepieces, the RHS invites visitors to get creative with nature this Christmas with a host of creative workshops led by RHS gardening experts and artisan makers.
RHS workshop participants can make a day of it and enjoy a winter walk in the garden, take advantage of the specialist Christmas giftshop and enjoy festive themed refreshments in the cafés and restaurants. Nature-Inspired Decorations Workshops
Celebrate the beauty of the outdoors this Christmas by making festive decorations using natural materials such as willow, beeswax, and foliage.
Willow Wintry Wildlife
Participants will learn to create a four-legged festive friend for their seasonal garden, sculpting with willow to build their chosen animal before adding detail and character using a variety of materials. By the end of the day workshop goers will have learnt willow weaving techniques and produced a unique Christmas sculpture.

Natural Beeswax Candle & Christmas Decorations
This hands-on festive workshop will teach participants how to create their own rolled beeswax candles. The session includes extracting natural beeswax from frames of honeycomb and cleaning it ready for processing before pouring a moulded candle to take home. A variety of Christmas-themed moulds will be available, including Santas and Christmas trees.
