Leading decorating and DIY specialist Leyland has opened the doors to its latest new store.
The store, based at Belsize Park at 147-151 Haverstock Hill, was revealed to customers for the first time this week (October 15).
Leyland now has 35 stores across London, more than any other DIY and decorating retailer in the capital, offering ultimate convenience for both tradespeople and home improvers.
Martin Hastings, CEO of Leyland, said the business was continuing with its plans for sustainable investment and growth, creating new jobs and enhancing communities.
“We are delighted to open our new Belsize Park store, which is in a fantastic location and looks brilliant,” he said.
“We have now opened 10 new stores in the last four years, creating almost 100 jobs and boosting the local economy. It is all part of a strategic plan for growth alongside continued investment in our existing stores.
“Leyland is known for providing unmatched convenience and service, whether you are a professional tradesperson making regular visits to carry out jobs in the local area, or a homeowner making improvements to your own property.
“We look forward to bringing this unique offering to Belsize Park.”
The new store, occupying a prime corner spot, will benefit from all the products Leyland is renowned for, including a vast selection of paints from leading brands such as Dulux, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene, Johnstone’s and Leyland Trade – all with on-site colour mixing.
Additionally, it will be the first Leyland store to offer Benjamin Moore paint. The store will also stock a huge range of other items including decorating essentials, fillers, woodcare, tools, cleaning products, plumbing and timber.
The building was previously a fireplace showroom, and before that a bank, but has been unoccupied for some time.
Martin added: “This is an excellent neighbourhood with a strong community. We are keen to play an active role in the area for many years to come.”
An official opening event will take place on Wednesday October 30 when there will be special offers from big-name brands, games and giveaways available to all customers.
There will also be an opportunity for people to nominate community groups or local good causes to receive a £2,500 prize pot to spend in the new store to make improvements to facilities or equipment.
Leyland Belsize Park is open from 6.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 6pm on Saturday and 10.30am to 4pm on Sunday.
