Specialist business property adviser, Christie & Co, has announced the sale of Little Angels in Brixton, South London.

Little Angels Nursery is an Ofsted rated ‘Good’ day nursery that can accommodate up to 80 children from birth to five years. The setting operates from the ground floor of a well-located, council property a short distance from Brixton station. It has a large outdoor play area that many of the playrooms have free flow access to.

The setting was established in 1999 and was brought to the market to allow her to retire. Following a confidential sales process with Sophie Willcox at Christie & Co, it has been sold to the London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) Nurseries who also operate an oversubscribed nursery nearby.

Mike Abbott, Director of Operations at LEYF comments, “This is an exciting opportunity to expand the LEYF offer very close to our existing nursery, and with the huge added benefit of a wonderful, large garden for all our children to enjoy. We are very much looking forward to refurbishing the nursery over the coming months to benefit the children, staff and parents and to help us deliver the highest quality learning and education upon which LEYF as a social enterprise prides itself.”

Sophie Willcox, Director – Childcare & Education at Christie & Co, comments, “This has been a challenging process which highlights how important preparing for a sale can be. Dealing with the local authority for leases can also add a layer of complexity and time to the process and so it is important to plan ahead when selling. I am excited to see what LEYF do with the nursery, and I am sure it will continue to new heights.”

Little Angels was sold for an undisclosed price.
