The National Football League announced it will again host the International NFL Flag Championships as part of the 2025 Pro Bowl Games in Orlando from Jan. 31 – Feb. 2.
Fast-paced and accessible for all, flag football is one of the fastest growing sports globally with women and girls driving some of the largest growth in participation. NFL Flag is the official flag football program of the NFL — working to bring the non-contact version of American football to young athletes worldwide.
Young athletes from 13 countries will travel to the U.S. to compete in a multi-day flag football tournament to showcase their skills and connect with peers from around the world, before watching NFL superstars compete in the sport at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games.
“We’re delighted to see the return of the International NFL Flag Championships at this season’s Pro Bowl Games, with our largest group of countries competing to date,” said Vice President of Flag Football at the NFL Stephanie Kwok. “Young athletes from around the world will have the opportunity to visualize the aspirational pathways the sport can offer – from the grassroots level through to the elite level, with flag football’s recent inclusion in the LA28 Olympic Games. We’re looking forward to seeing these boys and girls represent their countries and skills on a world stage. Wishing all teams the best of luck!”
The International NFL Flag Championship will feature teams of boys and girls across the U12 division from five of the seven continents. Countries competing include: Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Panama and Spain.
Team Ireland, Team Panama and Team Spain will attend the International Championship in Florida for the first time. Also new this year, the Championship Game between the top two teams across the tournament will be held onsite at Camping World Stadium the morning of the Pro Bowl.
