This February half-term, Livat Hammersmith is inviting families to step straight into the heart of the home, the kitchen. From Monday 16th – Sunday 22nd of February, 11am-3pm, the Livat Atrium will be transformed into an interactive IKEA kitchen installation where children can play and parents be inspired.

Children can jump right in, touch, test and play with a carefully curated range of toys, including from IKEA’s new GREJSIMOJS range, Hot Wheels, Brio and Paw Patrol. Meanwhile, parents can discover the new IKEA kitchen range, exploring smart design and practical solutions for their own homes all within a vibrant family friendly setting.

The ‘Welcome to our home’ experience is free to attend and operates on a first-come, first-served basis. Families must sign up to the Livat newsletter – here – to take part, with a dedicated Livat team on hand with an iPad to register visitors on arrival.

Alongside the play experience, parents are invited to take part in FREE Healthy Eating Workshops hosted within the kitchen space. Led by Neil McCreanor of the British Dietetic Association the sessions offer fun, accessible tips on healthy family eating.

The Healthy eating workshops will take place on Wednesday of 18th February, Friday 20th of February and Sunday 22nd of February, with the run time of 20-25 minutes per session. The workshops will take place at 11am, 12pm and 2pm, with the maximum of 12 spaced per session – bookable link here: https://booking.livat.com/en-GB/livathammersmith/event/evd/events/168076

At the end of the week, all toys used during the activation will be donated to 241 Space Organisation, helping to support local families and extending the impact of the experience beyond half-term.

Samia Badani, CEO of The 214 Space Organisation said: “We are incredibly pleased to be part of Livat Shopping Centre’s February half-term Toy Workshop and deeply grateful for their support. These toy donations will make a genuine difference to local families at a time when many are under immense pressure. The workshop will bring joy, creativity and excitement to children during the school holidays, while offering meaningful support to parents. Initiatives like this have a real and lasting impact, and we’re thankful to Livat Shopping Centre for their generosity and commitment to supporting the local community.”
“At Livat, our role is all about creating spaces where families feel welcome and supported,” says Memo Hussein, Meeting Place Manager at Livat Hammersmith.

“‘Welcome to Our Home’ celebrates the everyday moments that happen around the kitchen table. By combining play, learning and giving back through our partnership with Baby Alliance, we’re proud to create an experience that feels joyful, meaningful and rooted in community.”

Livat is inviting families to slow down, spend time together and enjoy a half-term at Welcome to Our Home running from 16th – 22nd of February, 11am–3pm daily, at Livat Hammersmith, Atrium.
