Pittsmead Grange Care Home in Hayes, Bromley celebrated its 1st anniversary in style with a wonderful afternoon party.
Staff, residents and guests marked the special occasion with celebrations, including entertainment from two different talented local acts. First came Natasha who entertained the residents with her beautiful singing. Everyone joined in and had a fantastic singalong. Then Magician Marco joined the home and amazed everyone with his brilliant magic tricks.
Pittsmead’s first ever residents, Wendy and Tony Barnes, joined in the celebrations and were honoured to cut the beautiful cake. No one could quite believe that the home has already been open a whole year! The time has flown by. The head chef Andrew and his team put on a delicious spread throughout the afternoon with a wonderful buffet & home-baked all washed down with a glass of fizz (or two)!
Pittsmead Grange has built up an excellent reputation within the local community. The home regularly holds events and activities for its residents, their friends and families and its surrounding neighbours. Pittsmead Grange really likes to bring the community together and forms a central hub for many community groups. The very popular Knit & Natter Group, held every Monday donates their beautiful creations to the baby unit at the local Princess Royal Hospital and members of the local community are always welcome to join.
General Manager, Siddharth Vaghela, said: “We have all had such a fantastic first year here at Pittsmead, it was lovely to be able to celebrate altogether. We are a family and we all support each other. It is testament to my wonderful team here who work so hard to care for our residents, that we have such a loving and caring home. I am so proud of them all and I want to thank them for all that they do to go above and beyond for our fabulous residents each and every day.”
Maureen, a resident at Pittsmead Grange, added: “We had such a lovely day celebrating. The party was so lively and colourful and it was so nice seeing everyone enjoy a wonderful party.”
