Local McDonald’s crew members from across the North London area have gone the extra mile this Halloween season for Ronald McDonald House Charities UK by completing an 11-mile sponsored walk. The team raised a fantastic £700 and counting.

RMHC UK is an independent charity that provides free “home away from home” accommodation and support to families of sick children in hospitals, enabling them to stay close to their child and maintain a sense of normalcy during difficult times.

The walk took place from Southgate to Brimsdown, with the team stopping off at several McDonald’s restaurants along the way. The team got into the spooky spirit with face paint and costumes!

Local Franchisee John Loizou who owns and operates 12 McDonald’s restaurants in the North London area said: “I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved as a team—not just completing the walk but raising vital funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities UK. It is heartwarming to see my team come together for such a fantastic cause. Knowing that our efforts will help keep families close during some of their most difficult moments made every step worth it.”

John’s team regularly fundraise for RMHC in stores. Customers can donate to RMHC by rounding up at the kiosk, through collection boxes at the counter or drive-thru or via the McDonald’s App.

McDonald’s is a founding and forever partner of the Charity, which has provided vital support to tens of thousands of families across the UK at each of its 14 locations since 1989.
