Gareth Thomas, Member of Parliament for Harrow West, visited his old school – Pinner Park Primary School – to discuss the importance of digital skills with students, teachers, and Three Discovery.

Three Discovery, the digital skills initiative from Three UK, welcomed Gareth Thomas MP to take part in a series of interactive and creative activities, including green screen movie-making, aimed at helping young people become more confident and capable in a digital world.

Emma Wilson from Three Discovery said, “At Three Discovery, we’re passionate about empowering young people with the tools they need to thrive in today’s connected society. By building digital capability, resilience and confidence, we’re helping prepare them for the future. It was a pleasure to work alongside Gareth Thomas MP and Pinner Park. The students were incredibly enthusiastic and fully engaged throughout the sessions.”

Gareth Thomas MP said, “Three Discovery is doing valuable work to break down barriers to opportunity by increasing digital inclusion in schools and colleges across the country. It was great to go back to my former primary school, Pinner Park, to see how these workshops are building pupils’ confidence and giving them the skills to thrive in a creative and inclusive environment.”

The visit is part of Three Discovery’s wider mission to support digital education across the UK by making learning fun, accessible, and future-focused. Three UK is taking meaningful action to ensure everyone can stay connected in support of bridging the digital divide. In partnership with the Good Things Foundation and the UK National Databank, it has pledged over 2 million GB of free data for people without internet access. Its Reconnected programme refurbishes donated phones and provides six months of unlimited connectivity, while SMARTY, its sub-brand, offers a £12 social tariff with unlimited data, calls, texts and 5G at no extra cost.
