A specialist caterer is celebrating its impressive financial recovery from the challenges of COVID with a glittering event for its iconic venue partners.
London-based Seasoned is on course to show a turnover 25 per cent above budget when it comes to its year-end in July.
The prominent events management and catering company has successfully weathered the storm after the industry suffered during the various lockdowns since 2020 and the restrictions imposed in light of the pandemic.
With events and outside catering returning to normal, the company is inviting venue partners from Tower Bridge, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Merlin, Mermaid, St Paul’s and the National Gallery, among others, for a celebratory event at Lancaster House in London’s West End on Wednesday, July 20.
Seasoned Managing Partner Events, Colin Sayers, said: “Now feels like a good time to put the events of the past two years behind us and celebrate the fact that we are still here, still going strong and still growing.
“Through 2020 we worked with a few private clients and a couple of smaller corporate events, but there was a lot of concern about what would be happening week to week.
“In 2021, there was a huge desire to return to normal, but again some hesitation with corporate clients because of the potential impact on their staff. After suffering various delays and cancellations, a few of our wedding clients decided in the end to just go ahead with lower numbers.”
The corporate market began to regain some confidence in late summer/early autumn last year, but that all changed again at the beginning of December with the new Omicron variant.
“This year, the desire for corporate social events and weddings began at the beginning of February and hasn’t let up since.”
Graham Turner, Seasoned’s Managing Partner, Venues, said: “There is no question it has been a difficult period, but we have demonstrated our resilience and the fact our turnover is so much better than expected is testament to all the hard work shown by our teams. We want them to know how much we appreciate their efforts and look forward to a night of celebration.”
