The 7th London Climate Action Week 2025 (#LCAW2025) starts today.

It takes place across 21-29 June 2025 demonstrating London and the UK’s leadership on climate action.

The biggest event yet, high profile speakers include the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Deputy Mayor for Environment and Energy, Mete Coban; the UN Secretary General, António Guterres; Prince William, UK Secretary of State, Ed Miliband; Mia Mottley, Prime Minister of Barbados; Ana Toni, CEO of COP30; Ambassador André Aranha Corrêa do Lago, and many more from across climate, energy, finance, and culture.

With a public messaging campaign on the theme: ‘Don’t tell me climate action isn’t happening’, LCAW will highlight the enthusiasm of Londoners to be part of climate action whether locally in their communities, or through their professional work and collaborations. This messaging will appear on screens at Westfield, the BT Tower, Piccadilly Circus, and online.

Nick Mabey, CEO E3G and Chair London Climate Action Week, said: “At London Climate Action Week, tens of thousands of people from all over the UK and the world will be coming together to share their ideas and actions across hundreds of events during the week.

“The huge energy for whole of society action displayed at London Climate Action Week shows how out of touch some politicians are from the economic and grassroots reality and from public sentiment on climate.”

Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, said: “London Climate Action Week provides a platform to showcase our capital as a global climate leader.

“We are proud to be part of the largest city-wide climate event in Europe with over 700 in person and virtual events across our capital and I would urge Londoners to get involved in as many as possible.

“London is a global climate leader thanks to bold policies we have delivered, including the Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) – the largest clean air zone in the world.

“We need leaders across the world to match our ambition and take urgent action now to protect our planet so that we can continue to build a greener and fairer world for everyone.”

Climate Action Weeks are a spotlight on all the amazing work happening year-round in London to upgrade our homes, communities, businesses, towns, cities, and countries – and imitated from Bangkok to Brazil.

Action is already happening because it’s what most people, companies and politicians want. Clean energy is getting cheaper and will bring down bills and increase our energy security, more high paying jobs are being created in clean industries than in fossil fuels, futureproofing our economy, and cities are becoming cleaner and healthier places for communities to live.

Climate action is about making life better and safer for all of us.
