Seven London clubs are playing in the Premier League this season – Arsenal, Brentford, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United.
On that basis, most Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers will likely have some London-based players in their 15-man squad for the 2025/26 campaign.
With that in mind, read on as we assess who has been performing well in FPL and which teams should be avoided over the next few weeks.
Arsenal
Arsenal have made a bright start to the season, recording victories over Manchester United and Leeds United without conceding a goal.
David Raya, Riccardo Calafiori, Jurrien Timber and Willaim Saliba have inevitably garnered plenty of points during the first couple of games.
However, it is worth noting that the Gunners have some tricky fixtures scheduled over the next few weeks which could limit their points production in FPL.
Brentford
After losing at Nottingham Forest on the opening weekend, Brentford surprisingly bounce back to defeat Aston Villa at the Gtech Community Stadium.
Michael Kayode, Sepp van den Berg and Dango Ouattara are among the players who racked up a healthy points total on the back of that result.
Brentford face Chelsea (H), Manchester United (H) and Manchester City (A) in their next five games, so it may pay to avoid their players in FPL over the next few weeks.
Chelsea
Cole Palmer tipped to be the second-highest scorer in FPL, but things have not gone to plan for him at the start of the 2025/26 campaign.
Palmer collected just three points in the first game against Crystal Palace before missing the fixture at West Ham with a groin injury.
The 23-year-old will likely be ruled out until after the international break, which leaves thousands of FPL managers with a tricky conundrum to resolve.
Crystal Palace
Palace have made a steady start to the new season, recording hard-fought draws against Chelsea and Nottingham Forest.
Their upcoming fixtures are a mixed back in terms of difficulty, with games against Aston Villa (A) and Liverpool (H) standing out as potential banana skins.
However, matches against Sunderland (H) and West Ham (A) could deliver plenty of points for managers willing to keep the faith with Palace players.
Fulham
Fulham have also drawn their first two matches, but things could become far more difficult for them over the next few weeks.
The Cottagers are scheduled to face Chelsea (A), Aston Villa (A), Arsenal (H) and Newcastle United (A) in their next seven matches.
Given the club’s lack of activity during the summer transfer window, it may be prudent to steer clear of their players in FPL.
Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur have made a flying start under new manager Thomas Frank and things could get even better for them over the next few weeks.
Victories over Burnley and Manchester City have laid the foundations for Spurs to enjoy a productive campaign under the former Brentford boss.
None of their matches between Gameweeks 3-11 are categorised as ‘hard’ by the Fixture Difficulty Rating (FDR) algorithm, which makes Spurs players an enticing proposition in FPL.
West Ham United
Any West Ham fans who thought the team would improve after Graham Potter was appointed manager in January have been left sorely disappointed.
The Hammers have suffered heavy defeats against Sunderland and Chelsea, and could be set for a season-long battle against relegation.
None of their next six fixtures are ‘easy’ on the sliding one to five FDR scale, which makes West Ham players a prohibitive option in FPL.
