The London Dungeon is launching the world’s first modern holy water vending machine to dispense blessed water as its new Halloween
show ‘The Exorcism of Peter Moore’ kicks off.
The modern dispenser is based on an early version of a ‘vending machine’ created to dispense holy water in ancient Egypt in the 1st
Century CE.
London Dungeon’s water, which is sourced from an official holy site, will be available on Tuesday 17 October, enabling guests to protect themselves from the demons unleashed in the South Bank attraction’s terrifying new show.
Traditionally used for baptisms, blessings or as protection against evil and danger and considered by many to be the most powerful water in the world, the London Dungeon – known as the Home of Halloween – will
offer the sacred solution to all innocent souls who dare to venture into the depths of the Dungeon and face the demons within.
A London Dungeon spokesperson said: “Our first of its kind modern holy water vending machine, based on the holy water dispensers of old, will arm all those who enter the Dungeon with protection from the demons within our new Halloween show and has the added benefit of washing away sins! Though perhaps not all… so pay a visit to our vending machine to ensure you have a #blessed experience.”
Thrill-seekers should bring their wits as they prepare to be shocked, spooked and scared stiff by the attraction’s spinetingling new Halloween show.
Launched on Friday 13 October and running until 4 November, the petrifying tale will see guests come face to face with a man who has been usurped by demons from beyond – and his desperate family who are trying to save him.
It’s 1814 and Peter Moore’s wife Katherine and brother Thomas have pleaded for help from the outside world but been left abandoned. With all other options exhausted, London Dungeon guests are the Moore family’s last and only hope to help exorcise the spirit that has taken possession of his body and his home.
As the Home of Halloween, the London Dungeon is an experience not to be missed this spooky season. With 16 horrifying shows and thrilling rides, it promises to bring the city’s dark history to life delivering ample scream-drenched stories and fear-inducing shocks for a terrifying experience you’ll never forget. Can you handle the horror?
