There will be a bevy of 40 beauties attending the semi finals of Miss England at theTaj on Buckingham Gate, London next Monday , 22nd August, all with the ambition and purpose of winning a coveted place in the Finals of Miss England in October, leading later to Miss World
Amongst those taking part, will be Alice Jones, who is a paramedic, and can apparently eat a large dominoes pizza and cookies in one sitting
Amrita, a specialist pharmacist in critical care
Anita, a biomedical university graduate, who is an orphan and wants to use the contest platform to show how resilient she has been in times of adversity
Arina, who finnished runner up in Miss Moscow and who now lives in the UK
Chelsy who knows how to fire a L144A1 rifle
21 year old Corel-Jo who wants to join the Met Police
Singer/songwriter Emily, who despite suffering from GERD and CVS Syndrome can do kung fu and belly roll with her tongue
Sports science tutor Leah who has a black belt in jujitsu
Another Leah – Leah S is a nursery nurse and singing tutor
Youngest contestant is Lexxi aged only 15 – she is a dancer
Lida is an Afghan refugee living in the UK and working in public relations
Melissa who is studying politics at Kings College and has already won the “bare faced round” of Miss England, and has chosen not to wear any makeup for her appearance in the semi final
Neha is a child social worker, who is also a law graduate
Paige is 18 and is completely dyslectic
Rafaela is a musical theatre performer
Roza is a clinical nurse and phlebotomist
Sara Garraway loves writing and has written and published a children’s poetry book
Sonam sets herself a challenge of walking 10000 steps every day to raise money for Refuge – a charity for domestic violence
And Trishalla , she is a dentist in an oral cancer ward, and welcomes the Miss England contest being sponsored by Dentakay – Dental Clinic
