The vet charity for pets in need is calling on kind-hearted animal lovers to join #TeamPDSA at next year’s London Marathon.
“Running fever has well and truly gripped the nation after the TCS London Marathon took place over the weekend,” explains PDSA Fundraising Manager Faye Waters.
“And with the ballot now open for 2025 entries, we’re urging animal-lovers across the country to get their running shoes on and run for pets in need next year.”
Taking place on Sunday 27 April 2025 throughout the capital, the TCS London Marathon is the most popular marathon on the planet, with more than 1.25 million people having completed the event since the first edition in 1981.
“It’s not just bragging rights up for grabs by being part of the event,” adds Faye. “By joining #TeamPDSA, you’ll be a part of something really special, and know you’re contributing to a world where no pet suffers because of financial hardship.
“If you’re a proud pet ‘paw-rent’ or animal lover who wants to help us raise vital funds for pets in need, get your entry in before the ballot closes on 26 April 2024.

As the UK’s largest veterinary charity, PDSA provides free and low-cost vet care through its 49 pet hospitals across the country, keeping people together with their much-loved pets. In 2023, the charity provided 2.2 million veterinary treatments to over 430,000 pets and reached over 6.1m people with its expert pet care advice.
The charity receives no government funding, relying entirely on the generous public support to fund its services.
