Each year London Rolling Film Festival includes a panel with the aim of providing a space for meaningful conversations about the evolving landscape of cinema. This edition features a discussion on Artificial Intelligence led by renowned filmmaker Tom Paton, who recently completed his latest feature, action thriller Us or Them, starring Malin Akerman and Jack Donnelly.

The panel will delve into the opportunities and challenges that AI presents to filmmakers worldwide, from advanced visual effects and CGI to data-driven analytics for audience engagement and content creation. Hosted by actor, writer and producer Rachele Fregonese, and will be followed by a Q&A.

There is also a terrific opportunity where anyone can “sell” their next project with a 60-second elevator pitch during “Pitch Corner” with Mike Smith. Giving them the chance to receive helpful feedback from a panel of industry professionals.

The festival is introducing the “Kimberley Marren Recognition Award” sponsored by The Fan Carpet. The award honours the memory of the beloved actress and model, and is given in celebration of unsung industry talents who deserve recognition.

This year’s jury includes: Athena Mandis (Filmmaker, Film Academic), Tom Paton (Director, Writer, Producer), Jenna Suru (Programmer at Paris International Film Festival), Stephen Cooper-Read (Investor) and Natasha Marburger (Producer, Festival Director).

Alida Pantone, Festival Director: “This year’s film selection is a testament to the power of storytelling. These films touch on the most profound aspects of human existence, taking us on a journey that will linger in our hearts and minds long after the credits roll”.
