London Speech Therapy expands across capital at multiple locations

London Speech Therapy, an established speech and language therapy provider founded in 2009, is expanding its clinic network across the capital with the opening of a new site in Clapham and additional therapy rooms in Monument, Old Street, Belgravia and Marylebone High Street. The new locations will support children, young people and adults across London with speech, language and communication needs, providing local access to specialist assessment and therapy services.

The opening of multiple new therapy locations offers an alternative to lengthy NHS waiting lists – enabling children and adults to access timely, expert support, close to home.

Demand for speech and language therapy has risen sharply in recent years. Since the pandemic, an estimated two million children nationwide are now experiencing significant difficulties with speech, language and communication, while waiting lists for NHS services continue to grow. At the same time, increasing numbers of adults are seeking specialist support for communication difficulties linked to neurodiversity, neurological conditions, voice use, fluency and confidence in work and social settings.

London Speech Therapy has a long-standing history of working in partnership with schools, nurseries, healthcare providers and private clients across the capital. Alongside its well-established clinics in Harley Street and East London, the organisation now employs more than 20 specialist therapists delivering services in clinics, education settings, medical environments and patients’ homes.

Emily Kirchin, Joint Managing Director at London Speech Therapy, said: “Across the country, we’re seeing more children starting school without the language skills they need to learn and thrive. While new government initiatives will help identify needs earlier, many families are still facing long delays in accessing support. Early intervention can be life-changing, and timely access to specialist care really matters.”

Mairead Skinner, Joint Managing Director, added: “At London Speech Therapy, we support individuals across education and healthcare settings, as well as through our growing network of clinics. Expanding into new parts of the city allows us to increase capacity for both children and adults — whether that’s a parent concerned about their child’s development, or an adult seeking support with communication, voice or fluency.”
