London to join The Biggest Toast in Europe to banish the post Summer blues

Returning from Summer holidays doesn’t have to mean melancholy – so on September 10th, 2025, simultaneously across 17 European cities, including London, around 3,000 people will gather for a collective toast designed to turn the dreaded post-vacation blues into an occasion of socializing and light-heartedness.

From London to Madrid, from Milan to Paris, and on to Berlin and Rome, for one night only, bars, venues, and urban spaces will become the stage for a unique event: thousands of young people and professionals who, glass in hand, will say goodbye to back-to-work anxiety with a smile and new connections.

The initiative is organized by WeMeet, the new app (currently free to use) launched by WeRoad that offers events and activities in major European cities with a clear goal: helping people meet face-to-face and create new connections in everyday city life.

WeRoad Afterwork: End of Summer Edition takes place in London at Bar Kick, The Shoreditch Arms, from 6pm – 10pm on Wednesday 10th September.

A Phenomenon That Affects Everyone: It’s not just a fleeting feeling—the so-called post-holiday blues strikes millions of Europeans every year. In the United Kingdom, 57% of travellers report experiencing symptoms such as insomnia, irritability, and low energy (source: YouGov).

A New Way of Living in the City: With WeMeet, the journey continues even at home. The app offers after-work events, aperitifs, cultural activities, and social moments for those who want to expand their circle of friends and keep the community spirit alive even after the holidays.
