Hawley Wharf Camden [HWC], London’s latest retail, dining and leisure destination, announces it will be opening its doors in the heart of Camden on Friday 27th August 2021 ahead of the last Bank Holiday of the summer. Bringing fresh vibrancy to one of London’s most original boroughs, the 580,000 sq. ft canal-side development is set to become a major attraction in North London, and across the City.
Hawley Wharf will become the new home to various independent retailers including well-known men and women’s luxury streetwear brand Marbek who are doing a collaboration with Mr Sneaker. The collaboration will be joined by a much-loved skate brand who are opening their North London flagship store Scum, which will sell branded apparel, skateboards, and accessories from a wide selection of popular skate labels, as well as SknFed the 100% natural vegan and organic skincare brand who are expanding and launching their first store after phenomenal success online this past year.
Visitors will also be able to shop at celebrated menswear and homeware store Article, womenswear boutique Sugar + Style and Manomay, which sells high-quality natural fabric clothing and accessories for those looking to expand their wardrobes. Lastly bespoke shoe painting professionals Koko Art and Japanese Anime specialist Plugy will join the retail line-up adding to Camden’s vibrant independent retail scene.
The destination will also bring new flavours to Camden’s already bustling food scene with ten London-based restaurants revealed for the opening. Visitors can expect some familiar and much-loved concepts, including barbeque restaurant HotBox known for their barbecue smoked meats and burgers, and a host of Asian dining spots such as South East Asian eatery Ekachai, Cantonese roast meat specialists Three Uncles, Chinatown favourite Bun House known for their fluffy baos, and BaoziInn, home to London’s finest dim sum and dumplings.
There will be a Mediterranean offering including the Greek dessert experts Stilvi, who will be baking their traditional sweet treats including baklava and loukoumades, as well as A’do’re Fritto – the Italian grab-and-go, serving famous fried delicacies including arancini, pizzas and more. They will be joined by renowned French pastry chef Philippe Conticini who will be opening an additional French patisserie, following on from the success of his existing sites in the Borough, alongside delicious smoothies and healthy cold-pressed juices from Juice Junkiez.
The all-day destination invites visitors to spend a full day alongside the Canal, with a range of leisure facilities joining the restaurants. Drawing on Camden’s “spit and sawdust” heritage will be Camden Boxing Club, a North London exclusive gym from The Boxing House who currently run Rathbone Boxing Club in Fitzrovia.Camden Boxing Club will offer authentic boxing, instead of boxercise or boxing-inspired classes, taught through classes and personalised PT sessions tailored to every fitness and skill level and overseen by esteemed professional boxing coach, Adam Booth. Gymgoers will be treated to luxury amenities, such as L:A Bruket toiletries and a sauna and steam room to relax in after a tiring session with the punch bag.
Adding to HWC’s leisure offering will be Butchers Salon who offer up cutting edge techniques in eco-friendly, ethical hair care and styling. Butchers and Camden Boxing Club joins Curzon Cinema as part of Hawley Wharf’s leisure and entertainment offering, who will open five separate cinema theatres at their landmark London site, each with 30 seats for a premium movie experience.
Heralding a renaissance of Camden’s golden age, Hawley Wharf Camden is a place for all to explore and discover new local favourites, whether it be with friends, family or colleagues.
