Westfield London is launching the Look Launderette, a fresh pop-up that will transport visitors into a world of global cultural experiences. The Look Launderette, situated near the Atrium, will feature four over-sized washing machines, each offering distinct trend experiences that visitors can step into between Friday 6th October and Sunday 9th October.
Experience a vibrant cultural mashup at the ‘Look Launderette,’ where a colorful part of this unique event has been curated in collaboration with Linett Kamala, a cultural expert, academic, DJ, producer and creative. The space will bring to life the findings of Westfield’s How We Shop research platform which uncovers worldwide influences which are impacting British culture, while also highlighting the prominent cultural trends expected to dominate in 2024.
The four themed event zones areas are as follows:
Global Threads: Explore how trends and influences from around the world impact British culture across music, film, TV, fashion and more. Visitors can engage with interactive experiences like curated playlists and unique fashion items to give them a flavour of the most popular global influences.
Synthetic Pop: Bursting with styles from Mermaidcore to Y2K and beyond for visitors to pose and take photos for the perfect Instagram moment.
Rinse and Rejuvenate: Visitors can take a step back from the hustle and bustle of the shopping environment and get closer to nature as the scents of lavender fields calm the area where a make-up artist is also on hand for further pampering.
Spin-class Couture: A showcase of the popular athleisure lifestyle with products on display that help people reach their fitness goals.
Several free events will take place at the pop-up across the weekend including a talk from the ‘Sustainable Stylist’ Roberta Lee, viral sensation Hanna is Golden teaching dancehall moves, a voguing tutorial from Haus of Dons, a fashion illustration workshop from Helen Ridley, global fusion DJ sets from Lin Kam Art and much more.
