To celebrate the start of the festive season in London, Marylebone Village has announced the details of its Christmas lights switch-on and annual Merry Marylebone event. Taking place on Wednesday 13 November 2024, from 3–8pm, visitors can experience an unforgettable evening of festive activities, artisan market stalls, live music, late night shopping and more.
The main stage will once again be on Devonshire Street in the middle of the village, featuring an array of musical and choral performances, with BBC Broadcaster and Marylebone Village resident Jo Good warmly returning as the host of the popular switch-on event.
The Christmas lights throughout Marylebone Village will be lit up on the evening at 6pm, with a soon-to-be-announced celebrity guest pushing the button to illuminate the village. Past guests have included Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Fearne Cotton and Roman and Martin Kemp who have all turned on the twinkling display over the last few years.
Throughout Marylebone Village there will be a range of immersive and fun festive activities to get involved in on the evening; from bauble making and wreath making workshops, to Santa’s Grotto and a Ferris Wheel. The artisan market stalls will sell a range of hearty street-food dishes, festive delicacies, and artisanal craft and fashion pieces – the perfect afternoon spent shopping for Christmas gifts with a loved one.
More Merry Marylebone activities will be announced in due course. For more information and event schedule please check the website MaryleboneVillage.com
