A new one-week technicolor clothes pop-up is set to bring an exciting splash of colour to the streets of Mayfair from March 9th. Taking place at 54 The Gallery, Shepherd Market, independent clothing brand Megan Crook Textiles will be bringing its rainbow rails to the area, during a weeklong celebration of colour and slow fashion.

There, visitors will be able to browse the clothing brand’s core garment collection which includes vibrant designs, multichromatic colourways, handmade motifs, eye-catching statement pieces, zero waste patchwork and a full spectrum of beautifully colourful accessories. The team will also be bringing samples from their bespoke occasion wear collection, with fittings and consultations available during the week by appointment.

Launched by self-taught textile guru Megan Crook almost 20 years ago, Megan Crook Textiles has built a cult following thanks to its eye-catching vibrant designs, sustainable ethos and inclusive size range. Collections feature hand to machine knits and impeccable tailoring, with a focus on embellishment to create unique and individual surface patterns using mixed materials and novelty knitting yarns.

The outcome is an inspiring array of colour and texture showcased across a range of accessories, interiors and bespoke garments all created by hand in the Megan Crook Textiles rainbow studio in the heart of Nottingham.

Explaining more about the upcoming event, Megan said: “We’re really excited to be bringing a slice of our rainbow studio to Mayfair for the first time. We always love getting to hit the road to bring joy and technicolour magic to people across the country but this event marks a really special one for us as it’s our first solo pop-up in London. Given Shepherd Market’s creative, bohemian heartbeat we knew it was the perfect location, so we’ve pulled out all the stops to make it an event to remember, with lots of special pieces for people to browse and buy.”

Last year saw the brand launch its first wedding collection, featuring bold looks for the entire wedding party, designed with Megan’s signature flair for bringing together vibrant colours and metallic flourishes with chic silhouettes. Pieces include waistcoats and ties in dreamy jewelled tone colourways and unique wedding dresses with flecks of colour, metallic yarns and interesting textures.

For visitors who are looking for wedding looks that are far from traditional, Megan will be bringing along a few samples, and doing fittings and personal consultations throughout the week. These cost £20, with the price offset against any purchase and can be booked via the Megan Crook Textiles website.

Megan adds: “Our bespoke occasionwear pieces are particularly special to us, as they represent a new direction, allowing people to bring the power of colour and dopamine dressing to the unforgettable moments in their lives. I’ve always believed colour is really powerful and doesn’t need to be relegated to casual wear. The clothes we wear can often serve as an extension of our personality, so why shouldn’t that extend to your wedding day or landmark occasions in your life too? Rainbow palettes bring such joy and feel-good energy but they can still be luxury too, and that’s what visitors will find with all our pieces.

“We can’t wait to welcome visitors to the upcoming pop-up during a week that is set to be the ultimate celebration of colour, individuality, inclusivity and sustainability.”

The weeklong pop-up will take place at 54 The Gallery, 54 Shepherd Market London W1J 7QX, kicking off on Monday 9th March with an intimate First Look evening from 6.00pm – 8.00pm. There a select few visitors will get the chance to shop before anyone else, while enjoying a selection of light refreshments. Places are limited, with guests advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Timings for the rest of the week are as follows: Tuesday 10th March – Saturday 14th March 11.00am – 5.00pm and Sunday 15th March at 11.00am-2.00pm.
