McDONALD’S LAUNCHES REWARDS SCHEME WITH THE HELP OF AITCH WHO MAKES IT “RAIN” FOR FANS

For the launch of MyMcDonald’s Rewards, the brand’s first ever rewards scheme, superstar grime artist Aitch sizzled on stage during a secret gig for McDonald’s fans in his hometown of Manchester yesterday evening.

Whilst temperatures soared outside, Aitch kept it cool as he delivered an electrifying performance inside a fully air-conditioned venue, rewarding McDonald’s customers with an energetic set of some of his most loved tracks.

The grime superstar’s exclusive set list featured some of his biggest hits including 1989, In Disguise, Rain and Baby.

And he wasn’t done there – to give fans another surprise, Aitch jumped in the McFlurry van to dish out frozen treats to keep people cool, as well as hand out limited-edition McDonald’s merch including bucket hats, and take selfies with the fans who came to see him perform at the event. Aitch said of the experience: “I had an unreal time helping launch MyMcDonalds Rewards in my hometown. I was gassed to perform for some of my biggest fans and loved jumping in the McFlurry van to help cool fans down in this mad weather. I can always rely on my city to bring it, and Manchester absolutely did.”

To celebrate the launch of MyMcDonald’s Rewards, available exclusively on the McDonald’s App from 20th July, McDonald’s is celebrating by teaming up with TV presenter Rylan to lead the ultimate ‘Rewards Squad’ featuring a star-studded cast of celebrities to embark on a tour of the UK, bringing a series of surprising moments to customers across the nation.

Regional Rewards for everyone

National treasure Rylan will be leading the charge and sending the squad to different corners of the country to surprise people over the next two weeks. You can follow along on McDonald’s social channels to find out where the Rewards Squad will be heading next.

As part of the tour, McDonald’s is giving away a massive 5 million Rewards points to customers, crew and their charity partners including BBC Children in Need, FareShare and Ronald McDonald House Charities. At every location, customers can expect to be delighted by the Rewards Squad with points that they can add to their MyMcDonald’s Rewards account on the McDonald’s App and redeem against their favourite menu items or convert to a cash equivalent charity donation.

The all-star MyMcDonald’s Reward Squad will continue to surprise and delight customers throughout the rest of the week as the tour continues to gain momentum across the UK.

The McFlurry van will also be heading on the tour with complimentary servings of the brand’s iconic McFlurry and limited-edition merchandise from bucket hats to cross body bags and water bottles available at every location.

The second stop on the tour is Newcastle on Wednesday 20th July, where reality TV queen Vicky Pattison will be ready to meet and greet customers in the McFlurry van and will be on hand to give out limited-edition MyMcDonald’s Rewards merchandise.

Next up it’s Glasgow (Thursday 21st July) and Cardiff (Saturday 23rd July), with Love Island stars Shaughna Phillips, Lucie Donlan and Chris Hughes, followed by YouTube sensation Chunkz challenging MyMcDonald’s Rewards customers to an epic gaming experience on Sunday 24th July.

The final leg of the tour will culminate in Birmingham on Thursday 28th July where social media star LadBaby will be giving lucky fans the ultimate Drive-Thru experience.
