MERIDIAN HIGH SCHOOL CELEBRATING IMPRESSIVE GCSE & VTQ RESULTS

Staff and students from Meridian High School in Croydon are celebrating their best GCSE results in 3 years for Grade 4 and above in English and Maths.

There have been outstanding results across the board with all Year 11 students being praised for embodying the school’s core values by continuously demonstrating resilience, ambition and respect.

Staff have also had the opportunity today to thank their parents and carers for building such a strong home/school partnership to ensure the success of their children.

Highlights of the impressive results at Meridian High School include:

Kaleem Fortes – 10 GCSEs : 2 x Grade 9, 1 x Grade 8, 3 x Grade 7, 1 x Grade 6, 2 x Grade 5 and 1 level 2 Merit. Kaleem has secured a place at Warlingham Sixth Form where he will study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Iqra Shafiq – 9 GCSEs: 1 x Grade 9, 2 x Grade 8, 2 x Grade 7, 3 x Grade 6, 1 Level 2 Distinction. Iqra only joined the school from the Philippines at the start of Year 10 and she will now go on to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths at Hayes School.

Dua Mir – 9 GCSEs: 2 x Grade 9 in English Language and Literature, 2 Grade 7’s, 4 Grade 6, 1 Grade 5, 1 Level 2 Distinction. Dua is going to Coombe Wood to study Psychology, Law and Photography.

Maimunetu Abdullahi – 10 GCSE’s: 3 x Grade 8’s, 2 x Grade 7, 2 Grade 6, 1 Grade 5, 2 Level 2 Distinction, 1 Grade 4, Maimunetu will be attending Coulsdon College to study Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Khadija Bouziane – 10 GCSEs: 2 Grade 8, 3 Grade 7, 4 Grade 6, 1 Grade 5 and 1 Level 2 Distinction.Khadija has secured a place at Westminster City School to study English Literature, Economics and Politics.
