The Minnesota Vikings will sail into Battersea Power Station on Saturday, 4th October, bringing a celebration of American football culture to the riverside landmark ahead of their NFL London Game against the Cleveland Browns at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, 5th October.
At the centre of the takeover will be a giant Vikings-branded boat complete with a big-screen stage and seating for fans to soak up the day’s programme of entertainment, positioned in Power Station Park. Vikings Legend and NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter will headline the event with an exclusive live Q&A, sharing stories from his illustrious career and taking questions from fans.
Throughout the day, visitors will be immersed in the full spectacle of Vikings game-day traditions. The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders will perform before hosting a signing session, while team mascot Viktor the Viking will be on hand to meet supporters and pose for photos. Radio 1’s Nick Bright will bring the atmosphere of U.S. Bank Stadium to London with live DJ sets, bringing the SKOL spirit to the UK capital.
Interactive experiences will run across the site, from a NFL Skills Zone where fans can test their athleticism, to a dedicated flag football field offering taster games and demonstrations. Families will enjoy a Kids Zone filled with face painting, colouring books and giant games such as Jenga and cornhole, while photo opportunities with oversized Vikings props including the Gjallarhorn, drum and iconic helmet will provide memorable keepsakes.
Food and drink options will embrace both London and Minnesota flavours, highlighted by a partnership with Crosstown to create exclusive Vikings doughnuts, alongside a variety of other food and beverage offerings. A pop-up merchandise shop will give fans the chance to secure official Vikings and London Games products.
The event at Battersea Power Station forms part of the Vikings’ continued commitment to their UK fanbase through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, which allows clubs to develop meaningful connections with international audiences through grassroots initiatives, immersive activations and community engagement.
The Minnesota Vikings remain undefeated in London, having beaten the Pittsburgh Steelers at Wembley in 2013, the Cleveland Browns at Twickenham in 2017 and most recently, edging past the New Orleans Saints in a thrilling 28-25 victory at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2022. Their return to the capital this October promises to bring the same passion, atmosphere and energy that has made Vikings game days in Minnesota famous around the world. The game itself will be shown live at Battersea on Sunday 5th October.
Visitors to the Minnesota Vikings event can plan a full day at Battersea Power Station, with over 150 shops, restaurants, bars and unique leisure experiences now open across the riverside neighbourhood.
