This year’s Miss England Final will feature a number of young ladies who will take their rightful place on the stage after experiencing adversity and life changing situations in their lives.
Amongst the 40 finalists will be:
INDIA FENWICK a 21 year old Estate Agent who was diagnosed with micropothalmia, and is blind in one eye
PAIGE ELLEN, from Lincolnshire, who recently suffered a heart attack
JEN CARLESS aged 18 and is the current Miss East Yorkshire. She was diagnosed earlier this year with Fowlers Syndrome, endured surgery 5 times and now has to wear a catheter
ANITA SAHA – orphaned in her teens when she lost both of her parents. Immersed herself into a University education and has now graduated with a bio-medical Masters degree
EMILY HARRISON – has lived with a serious digestive condition (GERD) and suffers from CVS syndrome. She is using the Contest to create a platform of awareness for others with similar conditions.
LIDA NASARI – is a refugee from Afghanistan, who now works in public relations.
Will all eyes however be on MELISSA RAOUF from London, a politics student who one day would like to be an MP? She attracted worldwide attention earlier this year by winning the Miss England Bare Faced Beauty round. She is planning to appear at the Finals without makeup
The Miss England Finals are taking place on the 16th and 17th October at the Holiday Inn, Birmingham Airport.
