More ways to ride: Voi e-bikes now available on FREENOW app in London

FREENOW, Europe’s multi-mobility app with its taxi offering at its core, has added Voi e-bikes, the UK’s largest e-scooter operator, to its platform, providing users with access to the widest range of micromobility brands in one app. This means even more choice for quick, easy, and eco-friendly travel – all with just one tap.
Across the UK and Ireland, FREENOW users can access vehicles from top providers like Voi, Forest, Dott, and Moby – part of a wider network of over 200,000 micromobility vehicles available across Europe.
The new e-bikes join Voi’s 2,000 e-scooters already available through the FREENOW app, giving Londoners even more ways to get around, all in one place. Gone are the days of needing separate apps for different types of transport – whether cycling, scooting, or hopping in a black cab, riders can easily choose the best option for their journey, exactly when and where it’s needed.
Besides the Voi Explorer 4 e-bike, FREENOW users can now try Voi’s new Explorer Light 1 e-bikes which are 25% lighter than regular models, making them super easy to hop on and ride, no matter the rider’s experience level. They’re joined by the Explorer 4, featuring a larger basket and a softer, more comfortable saddle that’s easy to adjust, making it perfect for everyday trips around town.
This move is also good news for the wallet. Voi e-bikes are free to unlock and cost 18p per minute, meaning a typical ten-minute ride, such as cycling from the Tate Modern to Elephant & Castle, costs around £1.80.
Voi already powers about two out of three e-scooter rides in England, so riders are in good hands when it comes to getting around on two wheels. The e-bikes are available to hire in three London boroughs: Ealing, Southwark, and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea – with more boroughs set to join over the coming weeks.
Danny O’Gorman, UK General Manager at FREENOW, said:
“Adding Voi’s latest e-bikes to our platform in London is a great way to give users even smarter, greener ways to move. We already offer Voi scooters in our app in cities such as London and Oxford, so we’re proud to expand our successful partnership further.
“We’re also excited to offer the widest choice of mobility options in one app. Whether it’s a quick e-bike trip or a taxi ride, people can travel flexibly and sustainably and it’s all thanks to our talented team who are always thinking one step ahead of our customers’ needs.”
