M&S has announced it will be opening a second store inside the iconic Battersea Power Station this November.

Part of the retailer’s more than £30m investment in its stores across London this financial year, the new 8,400sq. ft store will offer a curated range of womenswear including lingerie, menswear, beauty and accessories from its location on the Ground Floor in Boiler House North.

The opening is estimated to create over 30 new jobs, with recruitment starting in September.

The new Clothing & Beauty store joins M&S’ existing foodhall at the Power Station, which opened back in November 2022 on Electric Boulevard, a pedestrianised high street to the south of the Grade II* listed building.

The fresh market-style store has 150 employees and offers a range of M&S favourites including its iconic Dine In,
as well as exciting foodhall offerings including Mai Sushi Counter and a M&S Pizza Counter. It was also the first store in the UK to feature a new M&S Pie Counter.

The regeneration of Battersea Power Station has created an exciting new riverside neighbourhood for London, which welcomed over 11.2 million visitors in 2023. The new M&S Clothing & Beauty Store joins over 140 shops, bars, restaurants and unique leisure experiences in and around the iconic Grade II* listed building.

Will Smith, Property Director at M&S, said: “We always want to deliver stores that excite and inspire our customers – this new location will allow us to do just that. We’ve had a fantastic response from customers to our existing foodhall at Battersea Power Station and this is a unique opportunity to grow our footprint at the site. London is a hugely important city for us and so it’s brilliant to be bringing the very best of M&S clothing and beauty to even more customers. We’ll keep the community updated on the opening date.”
