The Churchill Theatre unveiled their star-studded line-up for this year’s family pantomime, Cinderella, at the Old Palace in Bromley on Wednesday 18th October. Musical theatre star and television personality Brenda Edwards will star as The Fairy Godmother alongside ventriloquist John Kimmons as Baron Hardup, and comedian Steven Dalziel as Buttons.
They were joined by Tia Gyngell who stars as the title role and West End performers Darren Bennett and Jak Allen-Anderson who will star as Cinderella’s evil Wicked Sisters.
Making wishes come true this Christmas as The Fairy Godmother, Brenda’s professional career started when she was the last woman standing in the 2005 season of The X Factor. Since The X Factor Brenda has gone on to take the musical theatre world by storm, playing roles in Chicago, We Will Rock You, Carousel and Hairspray. Brenda has just finished the Summer run at the London Coliseum in We Will Rock You as the Killer Queen. Brenda has also been a popular face on TV as a regular on ITV’s daytime panel show Loose Women.
Brenda said: “I’m so excited to be back in Pantoland this year! I can’t wait to perform as the iconic Fairy Godmother in the most magical panto of them all. Bromley audiences, see you soon!”
Matt Powder, General Manager at the Churchill Theatre said: “The Churchill Theatre is thrilled that the utterly magical Cinderella will be taking over our stage this Christmas after our record-breaking panto last year! We’re looking forward to welcoming this hugely talented cast who are sure to put on a fabulous show, perfect for the whole family.”
Cinderella is produced by Crossroads Pantomimes, the world’s biggest panto producer and the company behind the Churchill’s pantomimes since 2016.
Bromley theatregoers shall go to the ball this Christmas as Cinderella transforms from rags to riches, outwits her wicked stepsisters, and with the help of her hilarious friend and one very magical Fairy Godmother meets her Prince Charming.
The clock is ticking! Don’t miss your chance to see Cinderella, the Fairy Godmother of all pantomimes. Book your tickets to the Ball today at www.churchilltheatre.co.uk.
